Salt Lake City
June 10-18, 2008

There are a few spaces still available.
Write Connie for details.

Take a backward glance to our research treks. We have lots of FUN and yet we are serious researchers - usually the first in line when the Library opens. Take a peek.

Salt Lake City is a beautiful destination.   The LDS temple dominates the center.

Temple Square covers two city blocks.   The gardens that surround it are beautiful and tranquil.

They present luxurious displays of water in an arid environment.   Flower beds are a riot of color.

Flowers delight in the abundant sunshine.   A carriage awaits the weary.

"We made it here!" Curbside checkin at Detroit Metro   Do you have your E-ticket?

Car pools converged inside Detroit Metro.   Our group stayed at the City Creek Inn, just 2 blocks from the Mormon's Family History Library Library. It was a nice, clean vintage motel. We could save money by staying 3 or 4 to a room.

Hilton room   Relaxing pool   Dinner

Flight fun   City Creek   Family of researchers

Off to the Lion House   for good company and food   A party in the parking lot

The annual Utah Art Fair   lured some away from the library   to indulge in the sights and sounds.

We shopped 'til we dropped,   hydrated ourselves   and contemplated the dragon drifting in the pool

Then it was time to decide what to eat.   Evening entertainment was mighty fine.   But we did return to the "catacombs" to resume digging.

Microfilm fascination.   Too soon it was time to go home.   Goodbye, Great Salt Lake.

Winging our way over the Rockies   to land at Denver.   Our last chance to grab a snack.
